BobFrank232:
Stripped my DC19 fully down and soaked in soapy water left to dry then assembled back but smells keeps coming back.

dysondestijl:
Have you changed both filters too?

BobFrank232:
Yep, changed both of them as my motor went.

MVacs:
Put the hose in the washing machine. It might be that.

dysondestijl:
Yeah do that^ as hoses can smell, they do hold on to dust and dirt.
What is the smell? Pets?

Funny story... I had a lady buy a DC14 from me once... she complained it smelt. I knew this couldn’t really be as it had new motor, new filters etc, and was in as new condition. She accused me of saying she had a smelly house (she probably did) Turns out she had used it, it had filled the bin totally, she’d not bothered to empty it and came to use it two weeks later and of course it stank! I told her not to leave it rammed full of musty old shit and didn’t hear from her again LOL
