Hi, just found this forum

So I’ve just found this site and joined. I’m from Fife, Scotland and retired. Hi all!

Just ‘bought’ (only £10) an elderly DC14 Animal. We always had Dyson uprights but recently got a Shark battery one as my wife’s not so able now ;). Not much good on carpets TBH even on the high setting as it just can’t pick up fluff, cat hair, threads etc well enough. Adequate suction for hard floors but just not enough brush and suction power on deep piles. So I’ll go round with the DC14 time to time to supplement it.

Anyway, back to the point, it stinks and the brush roll needs renewed. So I think a strip and clean is on the cards. I’ve always found Dysons a bit of a pain to get apart so a few tips from here will come in just right.
