DC55, Brush bar intermittent fault, bit of advice?
« on: December 30, 2021, 12:51:32 PM »
Hi,
I have a DC 55 absolute, 6 years old new brush head 2 years ago under Dyson warranty, now:-

Brushes keep stopping / stop starting in the middle of cleaning.
Possibly seem to be running a bit slower and pulsing a bit.

Taken the brushes out nothing tangled around them, bearing in the brushes ok, wires to motor look on and connections look ok.
Any suggestion what it could be, or what to check next to narrow it down, switch, brush motor, whatever?

Thanks, Dave.

Sounds like the brush roll motor is failing.
