Small Ball Allergy - Tools
« on: March 10, 2022, 02:15:22 pm »
Could any kind soul on here tell me if it is possible to use other dyson attachments with my small ball allergy machine ?

I have some previous gen tools here but they appear to have changed the pipe/fitting size again.

I tried to message dyson at their ebay shop, to which i got a 3 word reply - 'No they don't'.

Probably the most unhelpful message ever  :snivel:

Thanks,

Steve.

Thankyou! I shall look into these.

Am I right in assuming that red button part of the adaptor fits the bigger (42mm approx) new pipe size ?

Thanks,

Steve

While I am looking, is there a hose extension of some kind for this machine too ?

Thanks,

Steve.

The one I linked is the one for the machine you mentioned. There are two that look the same, the smaller one is for V7-V15. There's an article explaining it >>here<<.

I am not aware of an extra extension hose that uses that fitting. It's maybe a bit honky plonky, but you could fashion an adaptor from an old Sebo hose end coupled to half a red button adaptor, use the Sebo hose with the Dyson and a Sebo to Dyson adaptor to still use the Dyson tools.

Thanks for the article link, thats exactly the issue I had. Just slightly larger in size that nothing fitted.

When will Dyson learn that keeping them identical is a good thing for the consumer and helps to prevent plastic waste  :coffee:
