Hello all,
I have a Dyson DC44 Animal cordless stick that is not working.
When the charger is plugged into the battery the light on the charger does not light up and the battery doesn't charge.
I thought I would start with the charger.
I have a multimeter but am not experienced with using it.
I noticed the charger outputs 2 different voltages; 24.35V and 16.75V.
Fumbling around with the multimeter I was able to get a read of around 24V but I couldn't get a reading around 16V.
I don't know what to touch with the multimeter to read the lower voltage output.
The plug has a thin pin in the middle of the plug, plus a surrounding metal "ring" with metal on the inside face of the ring and metal on the outside face of the ring.
Can someone tell me what to touch to measure the lower voltage output?
And, if I only get the 24V voltage output of the higher setting does that mean the charger has had it?
Regards,
