« on: November 14, 2011, 06:21:59 pm »
Why has Dyson not launched these in the UK the home of Dyson yet, surely the country that helped shoot him to the top should have first choice in new products ?????? Hope you are reading this James

Perhaps they are too busy trying to eradicate the DC01 from history whilst making a few quid from the Yanks and Aussies where it is launched. Better they iron out the design faults and do the little tweaks elsewhere before they launch it into the biggest market for Dysons.

Are they out in SA yet?

Nope , will be lucky if they ever get here, we still have the dc14 as our range topper and I won't even mention the cylinders

I have seen on the NEXT website that two uprights should be launched on the 20th, although I have spoken to dyson and they cannot confirm this. There is a dc40 (a lighter version of the dc41) and the dc41.

Excited? Much!!

There is a photo of them on Dysons UK website: http://www.dyson.co.uk/vacuums/dysonball/ but they are not offered for sale yet - obviously it is imminent. I just did some Googling and sites are selling them already with the disclaimer "Awaiting Stock - Order now, expected despatch within 7 days"

£389  :o

Although, that is the same price as in the USA: http://www.dyson.com/store/product.asp?product=DC41-IRSPU

I have stalked the machine since its launch in the USA, i manage to find it Online, from very.co.uk. I called to register the machine and the friendly lady at the end of the phone said 'oh, i don't think you should have one of those yet'

For some reason mine doesn't have a serial sticker on it, but there was one with the instructions so it's all good!

The plastic are a little thinner than previous models, time will tell, although I imagine it will be fine.

Performance is fantastic! The brush actually vibrates the floor.

The fixed handle? There isn't a serial sticker behind the wand/hose..

Thankyou,

I spoke to dyson last week but they hadn't had the briefing so weren't sure of its location either

I saw on the Dyson website today that the DC40 is launched alongside the DC41.

Does anyone know how they might be different? The description is almost the same too. What do you get for the other £40 from the DC40 multi floor and the DC41 animal?

It is confusing marketing IMO.
