Hi,
I went to use a DC14 and it would not switch on. It had been working fine up until then and I did not notice it cutting out mid use or giving off bad smells.
I first replaced the switch with a new one but that didn't help.
I checked the mains cable with a multimeter and checked the internal cables that run to the motor which all seem to be fine.
The motor isn't seized up.
I tested the motor with the test from this video -
which involved plugging it in, then unplugging it and checking for a spark when almost connecting the plug pins with a screw driver.
Is there another test I could do on the motor before trying a new one?
Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
Regards
Jack
