Converting from USA to UK spec
« on: November 23, 2011, 11:56:28 pm »
Hi all,

I wonder if someone can tell me what parts I would need to change the USA Panasonic 110v motor to a Ydk 240v one

Thanks
Stu

I remember we supplied some parts for someone that came back from America with a similar problem. I think we sent a full motor casing with the motor.

But, we should wait for our member Vacuum Cleaner House to see this as he will know for sure.

By front, you mean the small motor rubber? The casing, retainer and back rubber are the same?

By small do you mean the one at the back spindle side ? no hat stays the same, the big one in front by the fan that needs to be changed , but just check does he have a panasonic or ydk motor. if its ydk he just needs the motor.

He has a Panasonic one he says in the OP.

So he just needs a YDK replacement and the bigger of the two rubbers then?

Hi guys, thanks for the replies, unfortunately, for me, I have already placed an order for a used housing, both rubbers and a motor from MVacs, not a probelm really cos the used mottor and rubbers were only a tenner!

Big thanks for the advice though
