DC28 Belt cover

Hi, The DC28 model (US) has a black cover which encloses the brushroll belt. One end inserts in a slot near the front of the head and the other end snaps over a "tab". This piece has broken on my vacuum and the schematic does not show it. Any advice?
Also there is no brushroll shown on the DC28 schematic. nor is it mentioned in the parts list. What do you do when your Brushroll wears out?
Thanks, Gary

As far as I know, Dyson are only supplying full cleaner heads for this model. That will be why the schematic only shows that at figure 11 and it isn't broken down further.
We had a similar issue with the DC27 too.
