Is it normal for new Dyson motors to spark for one second?  There's no burning smell or any weird noises.  It works perfectly fine.

Is it normal for new Dyson motors to spark for one second?  There's no burning smell or any weird noises.  It works perfectly fine. When it comes to anything electrical, I always make sure it's safe to use.

It's not unusual to get a spark on first firing, especially on a new one.

Any time I switch it on, a spark appears. Does it go after a while?
