cleaning filters?
« on: March 07, 2024, 10:53:25 am »

I work for a local charity (Besom).  We were given a Morphy-Richards vac model 73321. This
seems to be very well made & in good condition but the filter is very dirty. I tried to get a new
filter but I cant find one.  It is one of these rigid cylinders with pleated material, I think it is a
"cartridge filter". I tried to attach a pic: it wont let me.  So please is there a good way to clean
these?  Thank you.

If it's paper, compressed air.

If it's fabric, you should be able to wash it.

If you need a new one and it's this one:

They are on eBay, item number 254536759354, part number PB531.

Thank you for your reply. The filter shown is a wrong shape. Luckily the local Shed has a
compressor, which got a lot of dirt off. But:

when the air hits the filter, it bounces back, so you should try to hold the filter so that you are
out of the line of fire & up-wind. (I learnt this the hard way). And wear goggles.
