DC03..no suction from wand

Hi   i have a Dyson DC03,not a model i am not familiar with at all.,The problem being,i can use the vacuum in the upright position and it works well,but when i take the wand out to use,there is zero suction,have you any idea where the problem might be
         thankyou

Take out the cassette at the bottom of the hose and see if this seal is there - we can go from there.
