Just to say hello and to thank the nice Admin who sorted my validation hiccup out and to the very nice young lady on a manchestervacs telephone who arranged that.
I'm here because after I can't remember how many years the motor in my trusy old DC05 decided it had done enough work for one lifetime and thanks to a video on uTube I've been able to take the Dyson to bits (I would never have found those four wheel screws!), sussed which motor I need and ordered a replacement from here. I feel a bit guilty for not ordering the motor from the place who I presume made the video in the hopes people would buy it from them, but they were more expensive so what can I say.
I've had a Dyson right from the grey DC02 when that appeared. Never had to take one apart though and I actually enjoyed doing it, it really is quite easy when you know how. I took photos along the way so hopefully it will all go back together and I'll have no bits left over.
So anybody who has a problem just check out uTube for a video of how to do it and you'll be sorted.
Technology is great sometimes!!
