Miele C3 fault Model SGDF3
« on: June 08, 2024, 01:13:00 pm »
Hi i have an issue with this vac, when pressing the power the Orange power selector icon briefly lights up then nothing.

I have checked the TOC all connections seem fine. Motor is clean and brushes still have plenty of meat left.
any ideas what the issue is?

Thanks

The control board, often referred to as the PCB (Printed Circuit Board), can fail. Symptoms of a faulty control board include the power selector icon lighting up briefly and then the vacuum shutting off. This is a relatively common issue with some Miele models.

Given the specific symptom, the control board (PCB) and its components (such as capacitors and the triac) are likely suspects.

Thanks for your reply I guess ill have to look into testing the caps and have a closer look at the triac. do you think there could be dry joints on the PCB?
