DC05 Motor head
« on: January 09, 2012, 12:10:58 pm »
Ok I have Dyson dc05 motor head. The motor burnt out and was panasonic. I bought a new ydk motor, new bucket and rubber mounts. The wiring is a little different and need a hand to be told or shown what i need to do to wire up correctly. I understand that the motor heads need extra mod but unsure just what exactly needs to be done in regards to this extra neutral point on motor.I have had a try to wire it the way i thought it would go but vacume would not work. Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards in advance.

How many wires do you currently have coming out of your motor housing?

Also, have a read of this post and see if that helps any: https://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php/topic,334.msg1359.html#msg1359

Thanks for the photos too. We get a lot of Aussies with these machines asking about them.
