How dirty should my filter be?
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:28:48 pm »
I have posted previously about how dirty my filter in my DC07 gets, after 2-3 uses it is covered in a  layer of dust and lint, after 5-6 uses its gotten to the point that it overheats and begins to cut out.

I'm only using it for light duties now e.g the study and spare bedroom and its still happens, not as bad but still.

I don't think this is how it should be, how do I fix this? I have cleared the cyclone inside and there are no blockages?

I think my cyclone assembly needs replaced as there is a gap where there shouldn't be and this happens.. is that all I need to do? It is was my main machine and now I don't know what to do!  :'(

You cant easily split the cyclone there. If it is leaking there, I would be changing the cyclone.
