We came across two very rare parts in a job lot of new parts we bought this week from a Dyson dealer closing down.

A DC01 FIXED soleplate assembly. Part number 900774-01.  :o

A DC05 Panasonic SDS1204SD Motor. Part number 901590-04.  :o

These items are £45 each including UK Recorded Delivery. We only have one of each. First come, first served. Contact us if you want either.

People often ask us for multimeters. A must when testing brushroll motors, PCB's and pretty useful generally on any electrical-related repair. We have now tracked down some budget ones we think are OK, that have the right ranges for Dysons.

You can find them here: >>Buy a multimeter<<.

Another new line added today: DC01/DC04 genuine wheel kits.

These have been obsolete from Dyson for years, but we managed to bag around 100 of them this week. When they are gone, they are gone! We will probably never see any more.

Say goodbye to wobbly wheels and get a set here: Dyson DC01 Wheel Kit 901428-01

We came by a pile of rather old new stock over the weekend.

Here are a couple of the rarities that are interesting:

DC01 motors.

DC02 motors.

A DC03 clear cyclone unit.

And last but not least, DC02 cable rewinds!  :o

The cable rewinds can be had while stocks last >>here<<, for one of the motors or the cyclone please >>contact us<< to check availability. This stuff isn't cheap as we had to pay strong money to own it and drive a long way, but it is available.

Due to changes in the industry, our DC04, DC07, DC14, DC27 and DC33 motors now have four buying options:-

Budget: These are what the suppliers call 'made to a price'. These are made to serve the bulk market where people buy on price only (eBay and Amazon for example). I am not terribly fond of them, but some people want cheap.

Premium: These are the super quality motors we have always used and sold that are made in the USA. As the pound is poor against the dollar at the moment, the price of these has risen a little of late. These are the ones we recommend. These are the ones we use on our own machines.

Genuine: While we are adding options, we decided to add genuine in there as well. For those that prefer a genuine part that comes in a Dyson box, we have now made the most popular YV2200 motor available from that page too.

Genuine DC04 Ametek:These are the long-obsolete Ametek motors we still have. Genuine Dyson part number 911930-01. These are only for non clutched DC04's that are lime green/grey, silver/orange or grey/blue.

It is normally impossible to judge the quality of what you are going to buy online when buying a motor for your Dyson (because you don't know what the seller will send you), and buying on price alone can be a false economy as this article suggests: Cheap Dyson Motors - 150 Reasons Not To Buy One. So we have decided to completely demystify it by offering three variants with honest descriptions. We think it better the end user can make an informed choice when buying a Dyson motor. We expect other sellers will follow our example.
