dc14 vs dc07 vs dc04

got 2x dc04 1x dc07 and a dc14 and the suction seems pants on the 14 compared to the others, i already stripped the dc14 down to replace clutch unit no blockages in pipes all back together good,  it hoovers and spins dirt in cyclone, just does not seem to hug/lift the carpets like a dc04.....

I cant compare because i bought it with a bust clutch, so unknown how it worked before, could it be because its about a 1/3 smaller than a dc04?
