We have a DC14 which has been working (in as much as any Dyson works) until today. Now pressing the on/off button does nothing.I have dismantled the switch cover and checked the switch is working by buzzing out with a multimeter. Also checked the fuse. There are no tubes or filters blocked and the brushes will revolve freely if hand turned. Is there anything else I should check or does it sound like the motor has failed?
I wasnt using it, but SWMBO says it sort of started and barely got going before dieing. From her description the tone wasnt normal for the short time it started.
