Wand losing suction
« on: June 26, 2012, 07:23:30 am »
I have only had my dc40 about 1 month. When I first got it, the suction hose when the vacuum was in the upright position had a very hard suction. Now the hose is barley sucking. There is a light vacume suction coming from the hose, but nothing like when it was new.  I disassembled the vacume to the head and the suction that goes to the head unit is very strong but when the canister is placed back on and the suction diverted to the wand it is very weak. I checked all hoses and both filters still look like new.  I have checked everywhere I know for blockages.

Any ideas?  The wand just barley picks up dirt!
