DC07 110v to 220V conversion

I have a 110v DC07 and want to switch it out to work with 220V power.

What do I need to replace apart from the motor? I found another post on this forum for a similar DC24 conversion but it mentioned a few more parts to be replaced. Do I need to do the same for a DC07 or just replacing the motor is enough?

All you usually need to do on the DC07 is replace the motor.

However, the 110v machines have one of several motors fitted in there, and if you can tell me which one, I or others can tell you if you need to change the motor rubbers/housing or not.

As a 110v machine, I am assuming this a US market machine? If so, other parts differ on the brush-roll area; so talk to us first if you come to change the brush roll housing, brush roll or sole plate and are not in the US.

If you can post a photo of your motor and/or give me any numbers from it, I can tell you more.

Extremely sorry for the delay in replying. The motor had been removed and given to a local person to do the 110-220V conversion, and was further outsourced (multiple times!!!) and it has been very difficult to track it down to get the number :-( I may have to give up on getting it back, but would still like to do the conversion with a new motor.

Is there anything else I can provide to determine which parts I need to change? Yes, it is a US market machine, purchased on ebay. The model number on the box says DC07 SV-BC. There are also some other numbers on the box 05796-02-06 JN 10698, not sure what these are.

Do you have any numbers from the motor itself? We are looking for one that maybe starts YV-

Really, that isn't a terribly difficult conversion to do. No more than an hour for anyone who knows what they are doing and has the parts.

Better to get it back from the local 'experts' and spend eight quid to send it somewhere that knows what they are doing.
