          hello my dyson buds
                                           have just replaced motor in my dc05 the motor is 1600w the old one was 2100w. have noticed that the air flow expels from  the motor across the cable winder and gets very hot is this normal.dco5

Surely the hot air expels through the motor casing and through the post motor filter?

yes the hot air does expell through all the proper places have taken dc05 to bits so no blocked air ways but cant work out why its getting so hot.

The washable filter is clean?

Is it getting hot enough to cut out?

    it has cut out out on me once    thinking maybe replacement motor is wrong size cant see how this could be a problem thou

Is it fitted with a HEPA filter? Is the washable filter clean?

If you have swapped the motor, it will need a new HEPA filter. If you still have the old one in there, take it out and see how it runs without it.
