Have you cleaned/changed both filters, checked all the airways for blockages?
Is there still good suction from the wand? if so, the problem is in the airflow between the cleaner head and changeover valve. Checked the bottom hose for blockages or splits?
If wand suction is poor too, then I'd be dismantling and pressure washing or steam cleaning the cyclone.

I have checked loads, I have done the following.

1. took cone out and blew dust out with compressed air.
2. washed filters
3. checked pipes for blockages
4. checked rubber seals
5. checked brush bar for hair
6 checked bush bar and does spin.

suction from the wand is second to none, I picked up a heavy weight with no problem.
I either need new filters (can't see that being the main cause?)
took flexi hose off, filled with water, no leaks.
I have considered, dyson call out or buying the dc33

there is no resistance whan pushing along I am sure it used to suck the carpet, it still picks up, i sprinkled flour on the floor and it picked that up

Filters aren't the issue if you have good wand suction, the issue is in the cleaner head or the linking airway.
Have you checked the bottom hose (the short clear hose between brushroll holder and the main body? A split in that, or poor attachment at either end, will greatly reduce cleaner head suction. Remove it and see if there is suction in the airway on the main body. If not then there must be a blockage in that airway that you have missed.
