Hi All,
New member here, so please excuse me if this question has been asked already. I've already looked through all the forums and can't see anything relating to my query, but I can see that it looks like a goldmine of information for Dyson owners. So thumbs-up from me
I have a DC05 grey/yellow model and find that the cord rewind is rather sluggish, and needs quite a bit of coaxing in order to get the cable to retract fully. It's been like this since new, so I don't think it's faulty, just naff!
Before I start taking the unit apart, I was wondering if it was possible to increase the tension on the cord winder somehow. I'm thinking perhaps uncoiling it fully, and then give it a couple or three more turns in order to tighten the spring further. Or perhaps there is a way to disassemble the winder itself and go from there?
If anyone could advise how to do this, or if it's even possible, that would be a big help.
Cheers,
Kirk
