Changing the coloured pegs on the sole plate

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has developed a foolproof technique for swapping the pegs on a sole plate, I have mis-matching colours and want to take the old ones from a broken part but they do seem quite well stuck in there.

I just thought I'd ask before I break both the old and new parts at my first attempt!

If you're not fussed about loosing the mis-matched fastener(s) then cut them in half with something like wire cutters and pop them out of the good soleplate. Then you'll need to break the donor soleplate (I use wire cutters again) so the fasteners fall out in one piece - snap them in the good soleplate and hey presto

You can also snap them out of the old soleplate, but there is a technique to that and its best not tried unless you have some scrap ones to play with.

Snips are the easiest answer generally, as Russ said.

I'll have a go at snapping them out of the broken one and see how I get on. That'll dictate how I procede!
