DC07 loss of suction

Hi. I have recently changed the filter in my DC07 Animal which has sorted out the lack of suction problem in the extendable hose area but there is still no suction from the main floor area. There are no blockages and I would therfore be very much obliged if someone could give me a clue as to what may still be wrong! Thanks very much.

Clutched model or non-clutched? If clutched, have you turned off the brushbar accidentally?
Is the brushbar spinning when the handle is reclined?? Does it turn freely by hand?
Are you sure there is not a blockage in the bottom hose? This is the usual point where they clog up.

Might be worth checking bottom hose for slits and check brushbar belt

Hello i got same problem   no blockages  filters clear  clutch seems ok suck at pipe upright  change of noise if block end  can do same into brush area .   motor running ok but i think it is getting hot on the top  cyclone clean and tried spare. suspect motor but seems to be running fast .
