DC25 Post filter pops out
« on: July 01, 2012, 01:53:53 pm »
DC25 has started to 'pop' out the post filter.  Thought filter dodgy so replaced and new one immediately popped out when used.
Any suggestions what causes this and how to fix?

Can you post a photo of the filter housing latch mechanism without the filter fitted please?

I missed this previously.

On the photo Markdl posted, we can see the edge that the motor clip is retained by looks chewed up and worn

In that situation, I would replace the motor housing.

Thanks for this we have seen a couple of machines with this problem lately and couldn't work out what was going on.
