Part detatched from DC33; where does it go!?

howdy!

After doing some hoovering at the weekend I went to use the hose and its assembly; i disconnected the long reach part from the main hose and this white ring (see attachment below) fell out:

I've tried to find where this came from online; the only identifying mark is a Dyson logo and the letters '1A' written on it.

Can anyone tell me where this actually goes? a pic of its original location would be very helpful!

I think that's from inside the wand. I'll double check with our tech tomorrow and post a photo of where it goes.

Here is a photo of where a part similar to that goes on a DC14 wand.



However, on the DC33's we have here, they have a different one. But you may have a different version, check that area first.

thanks so much for this! managed to find where it goes; was a tricky little thing to refit!

I've taken a picture of the part reseated in the DC33; feel free to use it if anyone needs it!
