DC32 Animal pro. Convert from UK to USA

Is it possible to convert a UK purchased DC32 to work in the USA. I have spoken to Dyson in the USA and they have told me it is not possible. I have recently emigrated to the USA and don't really want to throw it away as it is less than 6 months old. Appreciate any advice on this subject.

You will need to change the motor for a US 110v one.
