I was looking for something today on Youtube, and I happened upon a superb tutorial by an American man on stripping down and rebuilding a Dyson clutch.

Its something we are often asked about by people who buy clutch belts from us and then have no clue as to how to fit them. Its not something that can be explained without seeing how its done.

So here is part one: Stripping the clutch down.

And here is part two: Rebuilding it.

He made such a good job of those two videos, they are now stickied here.

I'm sure that will be very useful when I get to that part - I still can't find out how to get to the clutch in the first place.  I must be really dumb - I have the tools, have undone the only 2 Star ended bolts, and still can't 'get' to where I need to in order to replace the belts.  There must be a knack to this repairing lark.

Alec from Vacuum Spot in Australia (a member here actually) did a video on a DC04 clutch swap.

Oh, wow, that was really useful, thank you so much.  I've got to the clutch now, only to discover that I need a new one.  Back to the drawing board, as I've tried to get one from you and can't.  I'll send a PM to tell you why.
