YDK motor
« on: January 02, 2013, 02:05:11 pm »
Our DC01 has what appears to be a motor burnout - smell of burning and clonks from the motor. I've stripped it down and removed the motor, which has YV-511 stamped on it. As all the info I've seen refers to YV-940, will a replacement armature and bearings fit or am I wasting my time?  There's also a capacitor - does this fail and should it be checked?

I'd like to keep the DC01 going but I'm not sure if the new parts will fit. The motor spindle on the 511 seems to be much shorter than the one on the 940.

A YV-511 is a DC04 motor.

A DC01 should have a YV-940 or a YV-540 in.
