Would just like to say hi to everybody here, been a fan of Dyson cleaners since the DC01 days began!!!! I have inherited a poorly DC04 Absolute Purple lime which i intend to refurb to a usable condition again. It is in need of a new wand and also the power cord/switch housing kit, stripped the entire thing down today and sanitized it, also worked out how to strip the clutch down which needs new belts which will also be on order, will keep people posted on the poor old machines progress!!!!
Included a photo of it after being stipped and cleaned comments welcome :)

Looks a pretty clean one actually.
We have a clutch strip down tutorial in case of need, and I guess you found out already how to get the switch button out.
Do it right and there's a another decade in that DC04.

Hey yes I did manage to remove the switch housing, someone had previously tried with a screwdriver so I've repaired the spine which was hacked up and all rough, used some wet and dry then have it a quick tcut. :)
