My new old Wap M2 turbo
« on: January 27, 2013, 08:30:22 am »
I got this today, A Wap M2 turbo, During the late 70's and 80's you were not a proper workshop or car wash if you did not have one of theses beasts, Even though WAP was bought out by ALTO and then Nilfisk they still make these units today. I got this one for next to nothing and it has outrageous suction, Two 1200watt double stage bypass motors.

We are going to clean it up nicely and use it in our workshop

I am busy rebuilding it, giving it a nice coat of paint and cleanup. It will look good once all cleaned up. I love the suction power

Well it is a heavy industrial machine, In the backround is my Classic Mercedes 230 which is a big car and this thin is taller than the top of the boot to give you an idea of its size.

my Classic Mercedes 230

That would be a WDB124 series from the late eighties/early nineties with later spec back lights.

Used to love those. Very solid cars.

Before we did Dysons, many many moons ago, we used to do Mercs (hence why our main van is a Sprinter today - our tech can fix that too).

I was once as encyclopaedic on T1 Merc vans as I am now on some Dysons. Taking stuff to bits is much the same be it a vacuum cleaner or a 616 engine........
