we have a modern carpeted home & am thinking of the DC40 Animal.
I would like to know if the hose on this model is long enough to reach to the top of the stairs as i don't want to have to stand it at the top to do the top few treads.
any comments appreciated.

The hose on the DC40 is 4.6 meters according to Dyson.
I wouldn't bother with an Animal unless you particularly want the mini turbine head. A multi-floor will do exactly the same job.
If you are in the UK, a DC40 is currently
£287 from Tesco
. We dont keep them.
Did you particularly want a ball machine?

Decision now made that we Don't require the turbine head, so looks like a DC40 Multi Floor.
....... & yes we would like a ball machine.
Many thanks for your input.

Let us know how you get along with it, and maybe a product review would be nice for the forum readers too.
