Dyson DC23 Animal - Motor Bucket Assembly
« on: May 03, 2013, 12:41:00 pm »
Hi,

Following on from the recent success of putting a new motor in a DC18 upright for a friend, i decided it was about time we had a new hoover. I have been looking around and have come across a couple of cheap Dyson DC23 cylinder vacuums. Ideally we want a cylinder if at all possible rather than an upright. The question i have is if the motor has failed, is it possible just to replace the motor or do you have to purchase the whole Motor Bucket Assembly? Is it a feasible option to do this or are you better off just replacing the whole assembly to save hassle? Is it a big job to replace a failed motor on these, because the DC18 was quite easy really?

Many Thanks,

Mark

Mark, it is only available as a bucket assembly.

More on that motor here: http://dysonmedic.co.uk/dyson-dc23-motor-yv16k24b/
