Dyson body colours HELP HELP HELP
« on: April 09, 2013, 02:16:56 am »
Hi all

Can somebody please explain something for me, the cleaner head/spine/wand colour is either grey, silver, steel, apart from animals spine is lavender.

I want to no what shade of colour has what name, and also what colour my animals head and wand is. I'm guessing grey is like the original plastics colour similar to the dc01 and dc04, just want to no as I would like to order a few bits for my animal to tidy it up abit. Got a lavender spine on the way thanks to Manchester vacs.

Thanks guys and also I've enclosed a picture of my animal below so you can tell me what colour name the wand and head is :)

Cheers

Tom

Dysons colour descriptions are a mystery to everyone.  :'(

That should have what we call a standard silver cleaner head on there, but Dyson being Dyson, show grey, dark steel, light steel and steel for that model. Also shades of silver can vary a tad so the right colour supplied today may differ to the one on your machine a tad.

We are in the process of building a way better parts shop than what we have now, and I had this very problem last week, of how to categorise exact shades of cleaner heads. In fact, I ordered every new one available in just to compare part numbers and stated shades to common sense descriptions. I haven't done it yet lets say..........   :coffee:

If you want a new cleaner head, I *know* exactly which shade you need when I look at them, but I dont have it to hand right now as I am not in the shop.

PS, I didn't know that lavender chassis was for you a few days ago. Good job I picked the best one we had of three. Next time you call, tell Claire who you are as we'll always try to be keener on price for active forum participants where we can. Especially if sending a few items out together.

Hey there couldn't agree more with that, bloody dyson and their ways to make people's life's difficult aye, and yep the chassis is for my nightmare dc07 :( it cost a tenner but needs lots of attention, il post some pictures of it when it comes back to life, it's currently in component pieces looking very scattered around you could say :(
