Hello everyone, my names scottand im from birmingham. Im hoping somebody can help me on this site, I was given a dyson dco3 todaybut im having a problem with the suction, when I try and use it its not sucking up but if I take the hose out from the vaccume itself it sucks up then but I need it to suck up the other way so I can vac up carpets, can anyone please please help me out.

have you taken the sole plate off to see if there are any blockages .is the brushbar turning when you lean back

The sole plate is not blocked and the bruahbar don't turn when leaning back.

hi again does the brushbar spin freely with the sole plate off or is it siezed

When the vacuum is in upright position to use there I no suction at all, plus the brushbar is not even turning at all, is there a motor inside that turns the belt?

take the sole plate off the bottom make sure the brush spins freely then try again if it does not spin it looks like the clutch has gone , not sure if its worth the clutch repair thay are a little long in the tooth for me thats only my opinion

Is the clutch switched on?

The knob in the circle should be turned one notch clockwise.

If the clutch is duff, we have used and new ones.

Some people still like them. We sold a reconditioned one only this week. You can still get all the parts, so no reason not to fix them if they suit your needs.

I tend to sell DC03's within days when I put them up for sale!

As long as people keep snapping them up, I'll keep doing 'em

strange i cant sell them only for silly money
thats why i dont do them stopped about 3 months ago
if you guys can sell them at good money i dont blame you ,you have to do what the customer wants
