Title: Rotork on eBay
Post by: rabidmiffy on June 25, 2017, 03:44:12 pm
Hi, Just in case you haven't seen, there's a Rotork on eBay (in Elgin, Scotland)
Better be quick though, finishes at 22:39 tonight.

It's currently at £262 with 30 bids, and I can't afford it  :(

I saw that when it was listed. I see he has Collect+ shipping!  :o

They'll smash it to bits!  :(

I was going to have a dabble at this, but as I have one and a G-Force already, I'll pass.

In that condition with no tools and damaged hoses, I'm going to guess it'll sell at £400 - £450. Below that and it's cheap.

Indeed. Still not expensive really. A clean one is closer to a grand.

I bought it for my 12 year old son who posts on here with this user name (with my supervision of course!)

We brought him to manchester vacs last year to see the display there! and he had been obsessed with older Dysons and particularly the Rotork Cyclon for a few years.  He has been looking on ebay for one everyday since!

I got the seller to change the courier, as thought the same about collect +!!!
Luckily this one arrived in one piece and has surprisingly cleaned up very well although will be even more thoroughly cleaned later.  To be honest, I think these are worth whatever it means to the buyer and in our case I put a £1000 bid on it so feel fortunate to have got it a little cheaper!  although I know officially it would only have a certain value.  Oliver will probably never part with it.

It seems complete, apart from the cord hook, tools and manual.  So in the unlikely event of anyone having tools or manual for sale I would be happy to hear from you!

I means the world to Oliver to own it and even people who dont share a passion for hoovers cant help but admire it.

Oliver has wrote his own post in a different section on here with a couple of pictures.

Thanks everyone and any replies to Olivers thread I know will be greatly recieved by him

I might be able to arrange a copy of the manual if of any use?

I am sure I have one. I certainly have a G-Force one if not.

If you are wiiling to do that for him...please let me know the cost and how best to pay and I would really appreciate that.

Thanks

There will be no cost. Give me a few days to look.
