I bought three wands from that kayysmithh seller recently, and two are going back as they are damaged. And she is trying to waste my time and faffing about the return.  :-\

Its a seller I wont be using again.

Check out her negative feedback (http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=kayysmithh&iid=291645436290&de=off&items=25&which=negative&interval=365&_trkparms=negative_365).

I've had the misfortune too - the item I received looked like it had been pulled from the tip, absolutely disgusting.

Not a problem for me but wouldn't be happy if I was a non-Dyson type person!

That makes sense looking at what we received.

I'd like to know where he finds all this stuff. If it's a tip/trash find then that's bloody amazing! I could only see ironing boards or crap .

We threw our Bosch washing machine outside like 2 weeks ago (faulty) and it vanished within like the next hour or so! When I was a kid nobody would take anything. There was a DC07 allergy someone was throwing out (it was on the pavement) and it was there for nearly a whole week till it got collected by binmen. Sorry I have slightly gone :offtopic:

We sent two wands back to this idiot, received back 31st December, still no refund. I gave her yet another chance and she is playing silly buggers........

[attachimg=1]

So now its off to Paypal to force my refund..........

I am not sure this idiot is actually speaks native English looking at the grammar. If she does, she is totally illiterate.

[attachimg=2]

People: Do not deal with this idiot!  :'(

Why some of these people behave like this is beyond me.

Here is a curiosity, the address on the public listings is this:

Quote
kay-jean smith
71 holbrook meadow
egham
Surrey
tw20 8xa

Not a salubrious place (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/71+Holbrook+Meadow,+Egham,+Surrey+TW20+8XA/@51.4289152,-0.533445,3a,75y,226h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sYJSUFNMOnkgCiVc4v8SpXA!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo1.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3DYJSUFNMOnkgCiVc4v8SpXA%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dsearch.TACTILE.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D86%26h%3D86%26yaw%3D226.9588%26pitch%3D0!7i13312!8i6656!4m2!3m1!1s0x48767733155b83f7:0xa2586dcbb749fe9f!6m1!1e1).

The address to return faulty/broken items to (as I have had the displeasure too) is this:

Quote
kay-jean smith
305 warsash rd,
fareham, Hampshire, po144ls

Also not a salubrious place (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.8537666,-1.26851,3a,75y,45.69h,80.17t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s1Kj2lTsPLMhGZd_lTRnwqA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656).

The two addresses are 72 miles apart (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/''/Warsash+Rd,+Fareham+PO14+4LS,+UK/@51.1404342,-1.0611156,10z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x487677333d1da5cb:0xa109d1fc24655c6e!2m2!1d-0.5329502!2d51.4286489!1m5!1m1!1s0x48746f90d755b117:0xe308612526cf807c!2m2!1d-1.2680141!2d50.8537938) though.

The listings say "I provide invoices with VAT separately displayed". Which isn't true - no invoice is supplied. No VAT number is listed on the eBay profile either. Seller has been an eBay member less than three years and has a 5800 feedback. As only about 20% of buyers leave feedback, that suggests circa 29k sales. 9666 a year. If each sale is only £10 average, that is a turnover of over £90kpa without the Gumtree (https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=079%7C90746754&oq=079%7C90746754&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8#safe=off&q=07990746754) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Dyson-secondhand-spares-272422302783505/) sales. This seller should be VAT registered.

I guess flogging crap from the tip on eBay without a WEEE or Waste Carrier Licence, and dodging the VAT is more lucrative than Facebook poker chips (https://plus.google.com/102642300518612823083/about) anyway.

Hi Kayysmithh, you ok?

I agree though, some of the reasons to complain are a bit picky, if you treat you/the seller as someone who sells straight from the tip parts, you wont be disappointing, but as a seller, kayysmithh has to be ready to have items that are broken returned, it's the rules. Don't like it, stop selling!

I know some of you have had problems, but I never have.

We have different standards, perhaps. I know you have sung their praises from the start. But that doesn't help those of us who have lost money dealing with this clown.

This clown under-estimates Google and our ability to block silly sock-puppet posts by imaginary third parties; as they tried today. It doesn't help the cause that Renault allows the clown to post here by proxy by re-posting messages.

People, please do not post messages from banned members here. They are banned for a reason.

This seller mentioned that sales have increased because of the 'advertising' on here. This is something I simply don't believe.

I wouldn't touch that seller with a barge pole after reading the feedback. The nasty comments they post after the negative feedback along with the exceptionally poor grammar is the icing on the cake!

Thankfully most Dyson sellers on eBay seem lovely to deal with

I see a correlation with those unable to communicate in their own language and those who behave as this seller does.

But of course, the customer is always right.  :tiphat:

hmm, I'm not defending anyone but having poor grammar means nothing, the person concerned could have English as a second language for instance or have had a poor education.  Or as in my case struggle with dyslexia.  Lets not be to hasty to judge is all I'm saying.

I totally agree with MVacs.

I'm not asking for perfection or War and Peace, I understand people can make mistakes (I make many myself!). I simply wouldn't want to deal with someone that gives a total disregard to how they come across.

It arrived today in one piece, weird packaging though
Two boxes; one for the lower part and the chassis was wrapped in cardboard

The chassis is fine so I'm happy but the motor stinks and makes a rough weird dry bearing noise. The brush is wrapped in hair  and the belts are as stretched out as a worn out DC04's belts

hi I have been dealing with kayysmithh for a couple of years, and have put up with issues such as broken motors and parts, she is normally pretty good at refunding. This last year she has become very unresponsive when replying t emails, and I have bought 2 lots of parts;
1st lot came and one of the wands was smashed, yes she refunded, but didn't even say sorry, I will sort it etc, just sent text : refunded
in the same lot I bought a dc04 handle (came broken) refunded, and a dc01 footplate - came broken. I demanded a replacement and it came ....broken.
Lot 2 I ordered 10 dc07 motors, a dc04 handle and a dc24 wand cap a dc01 heap filter cover.
5 motors, (not 10) dc04 handle and dc24 cap arrived
Out of the 5 motors, 2 were dc04 motors, I motor seized, I motor sparked really badly and only 1 motor was useable every brush was below useable length.
when questioned I got the reply that dc04 motors can be used in dc07.
Well kayysmithh carrots can be used in a salad but it doesn't make it a lettuce.
Where were the other 5 motors ?
She said to rebox them and send them back, no sorry or excuses!
I have put up with it for too long I'm done !

Well there you go, another person that has come across a very bad excuse for a trustworthy sale's woman.
I hope you wasn't out of pocket in the end?

I can only trust her with non electrical items that can take a bit of a pounding, the DC33 spine I bought was a good example. It's basically a DC33 without the wand, hose andcyclone/bin.

The brush was hairy AF, nasty, grubby, the thing was wet, when I switched it on, the motor made a weird gurgle then fired into life, and worked alright after that but with dry bearings and she said it worked perfectly fine with no issues, that DC33 was pretty noisy tbf  :boggleeye:

who in their right mind would store electricals outside, one of the motors nearly took off spitting carbon sparks around my kitchen, I think she should get some public liability insurance before someone gets hurt

I know it's serious, water and electricity don't mix.

She sounds like the kind of person to me who would lick her finger before turning a page on an iPad :))

Some of her descriptions are just similar to the title, but then a massive paragraph about how human errors can happen.

I asked her a question about the DC33 body I was buying, asking if it's entirely perfect. She replied with "All good" How would she know I never wanted just the motor and didn't want to go through the hassle of fitting?

If you've ever seen where they keep their stock, it's in their garden, outside... All of it.

I think this kaysmithh needs to either stop selling altogether or: throw away all the stuff she has now (Because its probably damaged or broke or almost dead) and then buy some new stuff, store it properly and throw away the bad stuff she ends up with, in turn only sells decent stuff

hi guys, well I finally have a resolution from that dreaded woman, she claimed that she had sent out 10 motors and I had only returned 5, yet she sent out a returns postage label weighing less than 5kgs, so she knew what she had done.
she initially refused a refund saying I had only sent 5, so I opened a case with paypal, she refused to reply to them , and eventually they found in my favour.
I had already sent them back, but she refused to tell paypal that she had received them.
eventually, today they refunded me my full payment amount!

hurrah for justice.
Watch her feedback now!

happy new year to all of you
sean

I think this person is still in business.
