Title: Pro-Action SL204A - Stripdown and Refurb
Post by: beko1987 on August 09, 2014, 11:21:14 pm
OK, I sort of admit it, I'm doing this mainly for the thread content, this is probably far too much effort for a £20 TOPS vac when refurbished, but I just cant sell filthy stuff, and at least I can say I've stripped one!

I'm sure we have all seen one of these whilst bored in Asda, the Pro-Action!

The wiring

Lastly the hose (this was taped together at the machine end when bought, unravveling all the tape, and re-screwing it into the handle pivot fixed that up!)

And all apart, and all washed now! I'll pop it back together tomorrow, find some tools to go with it and give someone an ok little vac for £10-£15 depending on how shiny I get it, or if I buy anything tomorow to distract me from it!

Popped this back together the other day

The wiring was very fiddly

Pedals back on

Cord rewind back in. I adjusted it up and it'll smash the back of the machine out now its so fast...

Onto the mottom housing, I put the bag chamber seal in

Then the motor and rewind into the housing

and closed it all off

Bag holder snapped in

Bag full indicator in

All done!

Put the washed filter in (should have bleached it but never mind)

I put the bag back together which washed really well, and gave it a good polish to shine it up a tad. Found a one piece plastic pole and brand new Quаltex floor tool and put it up for sale on facebay

It's not too bad. Some metal poles and it would be useable. It's loud, the hose and cord are too short but it's got some airflow to it, would be great for mainly hard floors like we have (No, I wont get rid of the S5 for it...)
