Title: DC08 - How to disassemble a Dyson floor tool/head?
Post by: Avinitlarge on April 04, 2013, 09:30:21 pm
Hi
Just wondered how to disassemble a Dyson floor tool/head please? (Not the turbine head, the dual floor head)

I know there will be a way, just not too sure how to do it.

Cheers

Can you post a photo of it please?

There are several different ones and they all come apart differently.

They are a bugger to strip. Which bit do you actually need to get to?

I could do with stripping it all. It was bought 2nd hand, Smelt like someone had bee using it to suck do shit up. Ended up stripping the cyclone, vac body and had to disinfectant the lot, The hose went in the bin, just got to do the head now. Ive left it soaking over night but its still a bit whiffy

You cant really strip them totally other than what you can take off with the screws to access the hose etc.

I would soak it in Jeyes Fluid and then steam clean it myself.
