Post by: Jetdyson on January 09, 2015, 11:29:15 pm
Hello I am using an airblade AB 04 in the US as a small wind tunnel for models. I Want to simply turn it on and off. So I I Just want to bypass the hand sensors since I don't have them or need them. Thanks. Mark.

The problem you have is the PCB in the motor bucket doesn't let the motor overheat. They have a default cut out after about 30-40 seconds. So if you manage to bypass the sensors, which is a challenge itself, you will still have to bypass the motor cut off. And if you do that, the motor will end up overheating. If that happens, it burns out one of the four towers on the motor bucket PCB.

Can you wire direct to the digital motor? Possibly, and in theory it should run OK for a spell. But I am not aware anyone has tried it successfully. If you do, please post your results and methods.
