Dyson DC04 / Re: DC04 Ametek motor

Right then
I know a heck of a long time has passed but Iíve got myself another dc04 constant max in better and completely unfazed condition. This machine definitely has a different motor to the ametec one installed on the other as it sounds deeper toned. I have a wattage gauge so have tried both machines on that. Original one that I knows got an ametec in it pulls about 1050 watts when running whilst this new one Iíve got pulls between 850 and 870 watts. Really looking forward to seeing what it has inside of it maybe a special down rated ametec motor but I really donít know at this point I just know itís not a bod standard clutch less 04 motor

Can anyone advise on the actual brush bar bearing sizes on Dyson DC 25
Thank you
Scotrob
So small bearing size for brush bar for DC25 Is ID 7MM X OD 17MM X Width 5mm .
10x bearings on amazon £9.47  (697RS)
Suppose it depends how many you are repairing.
But hope it might help someone who has perfectly good brushes and just needs a bearing.

Here someone explains how to measure a bearing, interesting formula .

Nobody replaces them as the brushrolls are so cheap.

I've managed to get in without too much damaged, ive got a battery with bad cells and a couple with boards, i'll see if any of them match up then and maybe do a walkthrough with pics

It usually is the PCB that fails rather than the cells.

We never managed to get into them easily, not in such a way that you could repair them without the casing being damaged.
