Title: Dyson DC24 Brush bar motor gone should I bin it or sell it
Post by: Discountdysons on March 03, 2014, 10:23:26 pm
Hey

I've had my trusty DC24 for a while now normally used upstairs in our office. Problem is brush bar has gone again on it (little motor has gone) so I'm in a dilemma I don't know weather to throw it or sell it. We never get any in as part ex and struggle to sell dyson balls. Is it worth anything to anyone?

I had one with a blown main motor once, and got £50 for the working refurbed brushroll! Looking at what working ones sell for I'd say you've just lost the bit thats worth the most money!

I also still have most of the body parts for one as no one bid on it on ebay, even at 99p start for a chassis etc!

I dont like DC24's!

I know I don't like them too. We're using a dc15 now and I can't fault it. I've stripped the dyson dc24 down god knows how many times for various things always a swine to build up (give me a dc01 anyday!) might just bung it on eBay and see what I get

The motors are not so expensive. We have them here (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DC24-brushbar-johnson-motor-914703-03).
