Title: the collection and thinning it down!!!
Post by: absolutepurplelime on November 11, 2015, 09:48:43 pm
Evening guys. Once upon a time i had 2 varients of dc01 3 dc04s 3 dc07s a dc08 a dc11 and a dc33. I have thinned it out to a dc01 de stijl, dc07 clic and a dc25 all floors. Aswell as 2 numatics and a miele. What other dysons have you collectors got? Currently got a dc14 origin with mini turbine head and full tool set with new motor for sale and a dc08 hepa if anyone is interested. Share some pictures here of your dyson collection would be great to see them.[attachimg=1]

At home we have a DC14 and a DC35. And an Airblade and an AM05 fan/heater if they count.

The brushroll caused delay, but sorted now. Just a few bits and touching up really. It will be done when we have a spare hour or two.

2x Fantoms arrived today as well.

I got mine out a few weeks ago now, remembered just now I haven't put any pictures up

The DC01s

And everything!

The DC03 Clear is now with Mvacs, and the DC03 Absolute+ is mid refurb. The DC18, 05 and DC50 are yet to be started (DC50 will be a while as it needs £££ worth of parts! DC05 needs a new wand/wand fixing kit too.)

I just need the 2 blue DC01s and I will have the basic set, then I can start with the different sticker combo's there were  :underchair:

I've been after a Fantom for ages, only in USA they appear to be, couldn't find any here and I ain't gonna import another one lol.

Also, what is the attraction to the older Dysons?

I do have a spare one. Not the best, but it is still available. It didn't attract any bids on eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321993911910) the first time; just heaps of watchers. I was going to relist it today.

Ahh yeah I saw it and it really tickled my fancy but I thought £15 was a bit much for postage for me at the moment... I had no idea it was you though haha!

Stuff like that we send UPS, and the boxes cost about three quid each and at least another quid for the bubble in the boxes. And eBay steal 10% of the shipping cost.

Tell me about it, I hate selling on eBay because of that lol.

If you get any better condition ones let me know please ;)

I have to order flat cardboard and make my own boxes, MV have you considered selling boxes to people like us?

I have just had a look now. Looks like they have changed the way they do things. About 18 months ago they quoted me £351 for 100 bespoke boxes but now they have set minimum widths of 50cm so now no good.

I always have trouble finding boxes bit enough for Vacuums and A/C units, Usually have to get Bespoke boxes made.

I go to The Range and B&M for boxes when I need them. They always have big boxes suitable for Dysons. I have also found my local Morrisons get flowers in boxes that are great for Dc24's and Dc25's. I was looking at selling more complete vacuums online which is why I looked into bespoke but I can get more by stripping and selling the parts. Also less hassle if a machine goes wrong. I just sell complete machines locally but do still send a few a month.

I can, but they would be quite dear by the time they were repackaged into smaller lots and sent on. We have to buy I think 150 custom sized at once, and they come on a pallet.

Well when I first saw it, I thought it was alright but when you said about it in this thread I went and had another look, and yeah... It's worse than I thought! I want one that needs a little work because then I can make a small series of video's for it but nothing that is gonna cost me too much to get right...

Sorry dude  :grinn:
