Title: DC07 Bin Door Latch
Post by: g2gump on January 24, 2012, 05:41:56 pm
Can the bin door latch located within the inside ring of the cyclone assembly be replaced?  This small black clip is shown in exploded views of the cyclone assembly and is actuated by the push rod.  Thus far - it's been an elusive part.

Yes it can. I see you are in the US, so the page you need is here: bin flap catch (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DysonSparePartsUSA.html)

You will find instructions here: Replacing Dyson DC07 Cyclone Bin Flap Catch Clip (http://dysonmedic.co.uk/replacing-dyson-dc07-cyclone-bin-flap-catch-clip/) or in the workshop manual available on the same page.

  Very much appreciated.  I ordered two clips this AM.  I knew that these could be found ........ somewhere; problem is that very few do the type of recycling that your shop performs.  The installation process looks like it will be a "snap" ;D

  A little slow on my response time - but the part went in easily and it fixed the problem AND increased the suction of the unit considerably.  Thanks again.
