Title: The Sebo XP10 Commercial Vacuum Cleaner – First Look and a Floor Test
Post by: MVacs on June 22, 2018, 09:13:20 am
This article first appeared at the Sebo Shop (http://seboshop.co.uk/blog/sebo-xp10-commercial-vacuum-cleaner-floor-test/).

Here at the Sebo Shop we are very fond of our commercial Sebo vacuum cleaners.

Today we got to have a first look at the new Sebo XP10 (a replacement for the old XP2). It arrived in a plain brown box from Sebo’s UK HQ.

We quickly unboxed and assembled the Sebo XP10 and had a look at it on our shop floor.

Ostensibly, the Sebo XP10 is broadly similar to the X7 range but without the gloss body finish. The colours and the finish are somewhat reminiscent of the earlier X1 machines (the handle is in fact exactly the same). That along with the rounded main body (mentioned lower down), and it’s clear Sebo have decided to go with a bit of a retro vibe here. And it works.

Looking at the back of the machine we can see it is almost identical to the X7 here.

And the Sebo XP10 takes up the same footprint as the X7 having a 31 cm working width.

At the same time as the XP10, Sebo have launched also the XP20 and the XP30 – the technical specs of which are below:

The side profile is broadly similar to the X7, but the eagle-eyed will spot the slightly rounded body at the top which the X7 doesn’t have.

For a commercial vacuum, this is aesthetically quite pleasing in our opinion.

Functionality is the same as we are used to with any of the Automatic X machines with the short hose and the removable wand.

In use, they are also familiar to any users of the Automatic X range as the XP series also has the self-levelling floor head like the X range.

The self-levelling head makes it very easy to use; much like the domestic Sebo vacuums.

For comparison purposes here is one next to an Evolution 350 which is slightly wider.

And below is a short one minute video which is a floor test so you can see it in action, hear how it sounds and see how it grooms the carpet.

We have the new Sebo XP10 and wider XP20 in stock now. We are confident that this will be a popular machine with residential care homes, tennis clubs, golf clubs, primary schools and other users of commercial Sebo vacuums who may not necessarily want the full-size Sebo BS360. We predict this will also be a popular machine for those who want a very heavy duty vacuum in a home environment, such as those on farms and those who have much dog hair to contend with.

I just want one because I always wanted an Essential/Professional G1 and missed the boat, but mainly because I love the white wheels!

They are becoming quite popular. I've seen several already in peoples houses in the farming community and they've only been out a short time.

Not had a chance to vacuum the whole house yet with the Sebo XP10 but on the little go I had it seems very comparable, albeit that it is much quieter when compared to a vacuum cleaner with a 1300 Watt motor. Also because I use the Sebo Ensign SM1 on manual Setting 2, it gets slightly deeper into the pile than a Sebo Automatic with a new brush role (this was true of both my Sebo X4 Extra Eco and my Sebo X1.1 Eco before they bedded in). All good though and from what I can see the build quality has gone up a notch too! Cheers.

All great and very capable machines.

Those Ensign SM1 vacuums are quite rare in good condition now. Also you dont see many of the white X1.1 machines in good condition.

It helps that I bought both vacuums as brand new items. ;) Cheers.

I loved my SM2! Really REALLY prefer the manual height adjustment! If it wasn't the SM2 with the large head I'd have kept it, but it was far too big really! Made a flipping mint selling it though! £15 or similar from Facebook, it went out the door at £130/£140!

Would have another, but probably an SM1 just because their a nicer size for 2 bed houses!
