Clutched vs Non-Clutched - The Truth!

Finally, its here - the truth between clutched and non-clutched.

Some belive non-clutched dysons groom and pickup better than clutched models.

Well after my 2 week long testing around the entire house:
The non-clutched actually grooms carpet better than clutched, not only that but it picks up more tiny grit and sand, more dust and a lot more dog hair than clutched models, and makes the carpet all nice and fluffy - even in those high traffic areas where the carpet is squashed down and thats that!

Clutched models are good machines, however they dont groom aswell, thus not picking quite as much up, it takes a good couple pases to pick up dog hair etc. and the grooming stops as soon as you reached the high traffic squashed carpet - the non-clutched fluffs that up, the clutched just passes over it not giving a damn and just leaves it flat and dull. Im not sating clutch machiens are rubbish, and that i dont like them, there actually really good on long rugs because the brushroll doesn't get stuck in and there better to use on hard floors because they are not glued down by the beater-bar.

So thats it, if you have a lot of carpets in your house: then keep them looking nice all the time with a non-clutched machine with just one single belt - the fan belt.

I would agree with that.
