Just to let others who do repairs to their Dysons that Manchester Vacs could not be more helpful if you call on them as I did with my rather decrepit DC01! The only repair needed in 15 years was to the power cable but now the top of the wand had broken to the extent that it could not hold tools and the back hose was split in a number of places reducing suction. After a bit of hunting used but serviceable items were found and fitted at reasonable cost. Having found Manchester Vacs I think our tough old DC01 will be with us for a few more years!

Thank you for the lovely comments. I hope this post encourages others to comment on 'the Manchester Vacs experience'!
I bet you are the Gentleman in the lovely expensive flying jacket! It was very nice to meet you.

Hi Clare,
Yes it was me, Biggles and thanks for the kind comments re the flying jacket but it is 35 years old now and is beginning to look beyond "distressed"! Anyone know how to stop old leather getting any more dried out without spoiling the aged look?
