Title: Re: DC25 110V to 240V conversion - what needs to be changed out?
Post by: deployedbrian on November 14, 2016, 03:48:02 pm
I just read a post from a while ago about changing a DC24 110v to a 220v but I have the DC25 110v USA model.  My neighbour plugged it into a 220v here in the UK  without a transformer blowing the motor. So since I now need to replace the motor I thought I would just change it from 110 to 220 so I would never have this problem again.

According to the DC24 post, I need to change out the Panasonic motor (DC18/25 USA Spec Motor) with a DC25 SDS1304GZD Panasonic Motor (220v) and the DC25 Cleanerhead PCB from 110v to 220v. Do I need to also change out the DC771(2)XLLG cleaner head motor and the power switch as well?  Is there anything else I need to change out?  There is the DC25 reset switch 2.00A but I dont know if that needs to be changed as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Brian

You need to change the cleanerhead motor, yes. The reset switch will want changing too as ours differ. The power switch is OK.
